SINGAPORE: Some 160,000 Singaporeans or 2.7 per cent of Singapore's population suffer from Hepatitis B and Chronic Hepatitis B.
In Singapore, Hepatitis B is the most common cause of liver diseases and liver cancer.
A significant number of others may also be suffering from various forms of hepatitis and may not be aware of it.
