Hepatitis B Foundation research institute changing its name to Baruch S. Blumberg Institute
The Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research, the research arm
of the Hepatitis B Foundation, is changing its name to honor the man who
discovered the hepatitis B virus.
The organization will officially become the Baruch S. Blumberg
Institute following an Oct. 7 ceremony featuring New York Times CEO
Mark Thompson. Blumberg's widow, Jean, is also expected to attend.
